Ukraine 2019 Solo Traveler Budget

I wasn’t in Ukraine long but really enjoyed the food and experiencing a culture so different from the one I am used to. Budget is high because of the flight and Chernobyl tour. Also, since it was so cold, I ate to pass the time! Food was amazing.

My total spent during my week in Ukraine was $438.96 at an average of $54.87 a day ($41.85 without the flight). As I have mentioned in budgets before, when you go for a short period of time to country, the daily average is a lot higher because of arrival costs, etc.

Big purchases:

– Flight to Ukraine.

– Chernobyl tour.

– Housing (Kyiv was expensive….).

Exact numbers:

Events: $106.96
Planes: $104.14
Housing: $83.17
Restaurants: $60.53
Gifts: $31.17
Grocery: $16.92
Transit: $11.75
Shopping: $11.33
Prescription: $4.41
Taxi: $3.92
Snacks: $3.65
Cafe: $1.01

Moving on to Poland, hopefully my budget is smaller from here on out. I did expect to spend more money this month than last month and planned accordingly so I don’t feel too bad yet. If I hadn’t eaten out so much I defiantly would have caught a cold from the chilly weather (high of 2 C one day people!!).
