Catalonia 2019 Solo Traveler Budget

Ahh Catalonia, I thought I would save money while I was there but the road tolls themselves were over 20 euros. Also, apparently tapas aren’t cheap like they say?? Maybe because you need at least three to be full. And a glass of wine. None the less, free housing softened the total for the month.

Budget entertainment: watching the sun set over BCN with some claras.

My total spent in the three weeks was $407.73 at an average of $21.46 a day ($13.44 average if you remove the pricey flight from Croatia to Barcelona).

Big purchases:

– Flight to BCN.

– Restaurants.

– New hiking pants (people, check out Decathalon, my new favorite store).

Exact numbers:

Flight: $152.39
Restaurants: $63.85
Clothing: $41.02
Shopping: $27.12
Alcohol: $25.07
Gifts: $24.13
Events: $19.78
Bills: $17.11
Transit: $13.74
Snacks: $12.80
Cafe: $5.95
Grocery: $3.99
Water: $0.78

Portugal is proving to be a lot cheaper but I am also taking it a lot slower, not drinking, and cooking most of my food. There have been a few random expenses, discussed more once we get to the Portugal blogs! I am still loving traveling and unsure about my next steps. Talk to me when I get back state-side.

Everything I am wearing is Aida’s because I am ~broque on the clothes-front.
