Kosovo 2019 Solo Traveler Budget

The shorter time you spend in a country, the more your daily average will be. The “start-up” costs associated in a new country are numerous. The first is obvious, the ticket into the country. Then there is a SIM card for the area and perhaps a taxi ride that first day until you know where you are going. The next few countries I will be going through quite quickly, as I need to get to Croatia by a certain date. I will definitely be heading back to the area as soon as I can!

The popular Peja beer.

The total for my stay in Kosovo is $107.51 with an average of $26.88 per day.

Big purchases:

– SIM card for the Balkan area (one month).
– Prescription (so cheap I bought extra month supplies).

Exact numbers:

Housing: $39.93
Internet: $14.60
Restaurants: $14.22
Transit: $12.60
Prescription: $11.45
Grocery: $9.10
Taxi: $4.49
Alcohol: $1.12

I am currently on the hunt for a volunteering gig in Bosnia. With my flight to Barcelona combined with travel insurance….I need to take a break soon.

Cool projector from the first cinema in Yugoslavia. We got a free tour after wandering into the area.
